First and Last

Today my 5 year old lost his first tooth.

Today was also his last soccer game of the season. Don't worry, he lost his tooth at school, not at the game. He was so proud. He's not a baby anymore.

It was my turn to bring snack for his soccer team. I made cupcakes as a treat since it was their last game. It is amazing how many 5 year olds will drop a cupcake as soon as it is placed in the hands. When I picked them off the ground they looked like they were covered with black sprinkles. Yummy! Good thing I made extra.

Aww! So cute! And grown-up! The tooth fairy will be busy for the next few years.

I'm surprised some of them didn't just pick 'em up and eat them - lol!

Very clever to be prepared and a great way to celebrate the end of season game.

Congrats on the ToothFairy call- Kids look so cute without a tooth-

Maybe the hands off the soccer ball thing must be still in effect after the game...!

I swear it is a footnote to the law of gravity that as soon as a cupcake, piece of candy, or something fragile is placed in the hands of a child it MUST be dropped! Thank goodness for Mom's extras! He's adorable by the way!

Yay! Cupcakes! I made some yesterday for my daughter's 19th birthday and she never even made it home to enjoy some. She worked all day and had class all night then went out with her boyfriend for a later dinner and crashed at his house. She's very grown up, but still likes a good cupcake. Hope they're not stale by the time she actually eats one.

Congrats on the lost tooth. You son is adorable. Hope the Tooth Fairy is good to him!

That certainly looks like a proud young man with a missing tooth. I thought a 5-year-old would do almost anything before dropping a homemade cupcake.

Awww. Both of my older children literally lost their first (lost) tooth. My daughter managed to swallow it (she was eating an ice pop). My son was playing with his tooth when it came out in the van and he preceeded to drop it-the tooth must have fallen between the seat cushions. I'm still looking for it.

To answer a few questions:
He got $1 from the tooth fairy :)
and it was after picture day at school.

Mental note: don't make cupcakes for treat when outside ;) Maybe ice cream cone cupcakes next time? Slightly harder to drop maybe... ugh.

Yay on the tooth. Did your tooth fairy fork over more than a quarter?
