My 4 year was watching Dora the Explorer today. She taught him how to say "Blue" in Spanish, "azul." I found him shouting, "Ash-hull" at the TV which sounds a little too close to something a 4 year old should not be saying. I hope he doesn't decide to repeat that in public :S
Thanks Dora!

Uh,Oh...azul is a VERY difficult word for little ones. My Daughter was one who substituted letters when sha was about 2 1/2. She would use the letter 'F' to replace the 'TR' blend......
Then we rented a BIG rider TRUCK!
Oh My Heavens...that was a bad six months...every time she saw a truck, we cringed!
Blessings, EJT
When my son was 3 he liked to "make up" words. He would take a word and change the first letter several times until he got a word he liked.
He came up with the same word that Elizabeth's daughter did.
And he made up a song with it.
And he sang it in church.
Proud parenting moment #842
Well, yeah, it's going to happen at one point or another.... But hey -- at least you know you're not alone. And if you can make someone's day by cracking them up with his outburst, doesn't that count for something?
Haha. We had a similar thing happen the other day. We were in public and the word in question was pretty awful :) Gotta love those kid moments!
