I grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia. When I was first married, we lived in New Jersey. So I'm used to snow in the winter. When I moved to Seattle almost 3 years ago, the people told me that it doesn't snow here. I'm not sure if they are all liars or in denial. It has snowed every year so far. It hasn't been a lot of snow. But everything shuts down when it snows. They don't' plow the secondary roads. No one owns a snow shovel. They just wait for it to melt! Yes, that i their snow emergency plan, to wait for it to melt.
Saturday night we went into downtown Seattle and took a bus tour of the best Christmas lights in Seattle. It was festive and nice to be able to sit back and relax with the kids and look outside. Then it started snowing! It was like a movie scene. Then Santa got on our bus and lead the bus riders in singing a few Christmas carols. It was perfect! The kids' favorite part was when some people threw snowball at our bus! All in good fun of course.
Yesterday morning the kids got to play in the snow. Here are some pictures :)

We were supposed to get a HUGE storm this weekend. We barely got anything. We'll see if we get as much as they say this week!
ENjoy your snow!
So very cool. We have a snow warning here and we are so hoping we get a little snow. I think my girls would love it. Enjoy!
I love snow so I hope we get a lot:)
Just wait for it to melt? Really? Wow. We're supposed to get 4-6" of snow (on top of our current ice) and NOTHING will shut down.
Oh, and umm love the Home Depot patio set. We have the EXACT same one! :)
The snow here will melt in mid April. Until then, life goes on, with a shovel and snow tires.
