I've been trying to encourage my kids to watch the Olympics. For some reason, they don't seem interested. My 6 year old started to watch some of the speed skating competition. He watched for a minute and looked confused.
I said, "It looks hard to skate that fast, doesn't it?"
He asked, "Are they allowed to hold onto the wall for help?"
"I guess so, but then they wouldn't go as fast."
"Mom, you should skate in the Olympics. You can skate without holding onto the wall!"
He made my day.

- I am a domestic goddess with 2 adorable angels who do everything they’re supposed to do. I vacation in the Bahamas on my own private island and sip Margaritas all day... Then I wake up and realize that I'm actually the maid, the gourmet chef, the chauffeur, the gardener, the butler, the banker, personal shopper and everything else my family needs. The Bahamas are actually the Seattle suburbs (at least no chance of a sunburn here!) but I still enjoy the occasional margarita. Sometimes it really is all about how you look at things ;)

I love the Olympics, Cookie, and we watch it every night. Your sons are probably too young to appreciate them.

I am having a hard time getting my girls to watch the Olympics too. I think they see so much sports now they are just not impressed.
