I was telling my husband that I recently read in a book that only old people wear watches these day. Young people use their cell phones to tell the time.
He laughed and pointed out that I'm the one who wears a watch. He never wears a watch.
My 6 year old said, "Mom, you should give your watch to dad!"
My husband wasn't as pleased with our son's comment as I was :)

But I must be old - I can't function without my watch. And I almost never have my cellphone with me, which drives my husband insane.
HAHA that's funny!! Love your son's comment. I don't think I qualify as young but I use my cell phone for the time!! No watch on me. (I had no idea it signified anything though.)
That is pretty funny! I can't seem to keep a watch in good working order or wearable order, so I have been using my cellphone for that, too.

Your boy makes me giggle. He's (ahem) one smart cookie! And if it makes you feel any better, I wear a watch because it's pretty!
Really? SB just bought me a watch for Valentine's because I lost mine a couple of months back. I like wearing watches just to show off something shiny on my wrist. I use it for telling time, too.

If I used my cell phone to tell time I would NEVER know what time it was. I forget to charge it, and forget to take it with me. Sooooo I guess I am old lol
