Before and After

As I mentioned earlier, I have been busy working on painting my bedroom.
Here is a "before" photo.

Notice the beautiful ladder in front of the windows. I love that way it filters the light. And the plastic floor covering is great for unexpected messes.

10 days later the room looked like this.
The furniture has been rearranged so that the ladder is off to the side of the windows and the light bulb stands alone to make a statement. The plastic carpet has been replaced with a worn out grayish color with a few stains to give it that "lived-in" look.

We're almost done moving everything back. We tried moving the bed to a different wall, but I think tomorrow we'll be moving it back to where it had been before this project got started.

I'm happy to see the cold lavender color gone. The new color is called "Navajo white." Turns out that it's more of a Navajo yellow. Still it's calm and peaceful, which is what I wanted for the bedroom.

You're a riot! I think you need to put the ladder back where it was, but leave the light bulb where it was. Do that and you'll have the best renovation I've seen in a long time!

Oh YES, Cookie. Definitely yes! The new color and trim suits the room so well and the gorgey view from the adjacent double windows is just to die for.

Well done. You should be proud. Now how about a photo of the room with the goodies rearranged?

Beautiful color, Cookie... I love it.. That is similar to the color which is all through our home. I think 'neutral' is BEST...

You've done a great job!!!!

We have a little more snow here this morning--just a dusting but pretty.
Hugs,
Betsy

Great job, Momma! Very warm, calm, and peaceful. Our bathroom in California was Navajo white - or as you said, Navajo yellow. Seriously. Not even close to white.

What beautiful views you have out the windows! That is a soft and calming color. Much warmer than the lavendar. Funny, they say lavendar is sleep-inducing when it's such a cool tone.

Much better, warmer and it changes the light in the room. (the real light, not the bulb!)

A project that I am certain you are happy to be done with. Good job!

Our front yard looks like the view out your bedroom window. We see all kinds of wild life out there. AND we see the results of them in our garden in the spring and summer!! lol

I like that color! And, the light bulb standing alone to make a statement.

I LOVE those big windows and the new color. We have a very similar color in our living room. It is definitely calming and neutral. Great choice!
