A Note

Last night when I tucked my 6 year old into bed, he stuck his tongue out at me.

I told him, "Be careful. Someone might come along and pour hot sauce on that tongue if it's sticking out like that."

He thought for a minute and then came up with a solution, "I'll just make a sticky note that says, 'Do not pour hot sauce here.'"

I couldn't help but giggle and never bother to ask exactly where he was going to stick that sticky note.

When my oldest daughter was that age, she went through a phase where she stuck her tongue out at me when she was mad. One day I told her that if she did it again, I was going to make her lick a bar of soap like the kid in Christmas Story. The look on her face was priceless - like she couldn't believe parents were actually allowed to do that.

But she has never stuck her tongue out at me again, at least not so that I could see it.

Now where would that sticky note go anyway? LOL

So cute! None of mine ever did the tongue-sticking-out, but they all perfected the eye roll - lol!

We didn't have sticky notes when I had little ones, just scotch tape!

The logic that little kids demonstrate just floors me sometimes. It's hilarious! :)

A sticky note is the perfect way to keep hot sauce off your tongue.
