Good Bye Soccer Season

Both of my boys played soccer this fall. The season ended last week. No more soccer practice until next year. They had their end of the season parties and got their trophies. Everything is done.

Here's my 5 year old getting his trophy from his coach.

And here's my 7 year old showing off his soccer ball trophy that his friends signed.

So why do I still have a car filled with soccer equipment? There are goalie gloves that seem to have taken a permanent spot on the backseat. The gloves feel right at home with 3 soccer balls rolling around. Yes, I said 3 soccer balls. I have no idea how I ended up with 3 soccer balls in my car. I only have 2 kids!

Cute post, Cookie.. Sounds like all of you are WELL now. That is GOOD! Yes--with boys, you will end up with all kinds of extra things are your home and in your car. Collect them all--and have a garage sale someday... ha

Hugs,
Betsy

I'm officially jealous. We have three more weeks of soccer games. And my husband just signed our oldest daughter up for two sessions of Winter indoor soccer. Winter soccer will end just in time for Spring soccer. Yay! I keep telling myself this is better than doing dance since we don't have to do costumes, hair and make-up and it's considerably cheaper. My older daughter has the same soccer ball trophy as your son. My little one covets that trophy like you wouldn't believe.

Ohmigosh! What adorable little faces! I was going to say you are a lucky mom, but then I changed my mind and decided they are lucky little boys!

Congratulations on the successful season. Go relax!

I emptied out a FULL trashbag of stuff from my car last week. I was amazed at the things I found. Things I hadn't seen in weeks LOL.

Trophies are great for the kiddles!
You must have a big car! Time to get a new equiptment shed/container for the yard to store those all year- maybe a large plastic bin?

Ummm yep. Then again, I have multiple soccer balls, basketballs and footballs in my garage but yet no one plays any of it. Hmmm. I think this is just what happens with moms :)

The crap that is in the back of my car is unbelievable. Lacross sticks, mouth guards, the odd football boat, smelly socks.

Great kids and the trophies are very cool. I bet they were so pleased to receive them. :)
