Family Portrait

Recently my family had our family portrait done my a local artist. He's a new, young, up and coming artist. I'm sure one day his artwork will fill all of the galleries. Right now his work is featured mostly on the Famous Fridge or at Grandma's house.

I like his perception of how skinny my thighs are. And those Rockettes have nothing on me. I'm all legs.

And apparently my family has some kind of skin condition that is turning us all blue. Could it be swine flu?

So cute! I remember when my kids used to do drawings like this. When my daughter was 4, her pre-school teacher wrote our names and ages next to our picture for her. My daughter placed my age at 74 and my husband at 52. I am 3 years YOUNGER than my husband and I was still in my 20's at the time!

What a great little artist you have in your family, Cookie. Keep that portrait in a safe place. Someday, you can share it with your GRANDCHILDREN....

Hugs,
Betsy

So cute! And who doesn't love having unending legs and thin thighs? And the blue IS a lovely shade!

It's not swine flu -- you're all turning into smurfs! I love the family portraits at this age. have him do another one at the end of the year, and wow is it amazing to see how much they've changed!

No, it's not the swine flu. You've all turned into the Blue Man Group!

Haha. That is great. My new local artist follows more of a circular vibe in her drawings. LOL
