That Rocks

This week my kids got a new bus taking them home from school. My kindergartner was very excited to tell me all about it.

"Mom, now we're the first stop. And the new bus driver goes so fast. She does 50 miles per hour down the hill. She rocks!"

Just what a mom wants to hear about the new bus driver.

Ha Cookie... Kids tell it like it is!!!! It's a good thing your Kindergartner didn't say that the bus driver was going 100 mph down the hill. ha ha.... OH--kids... We gotta love 'em....

Hugs,
Betsy

Whee! Hey c'mon, his version of 50mph from his vantage point probably isn't REALLY 50. Right? I hope? Isn't kindergarten fun?

Oh my! This is where you have to stop and try to figure out is it a kindergarten 50 mph or a real 50 mph.

seat belts on the bus??? if not, tell them to hold on and enjoy the ride; but I agree 50 MPH for a kindergartner might not be a true 50 MPH for a licensed driver

Ooops! It's a little funny though. Not safe maybe, but funny.

Hahaha! Gotta love the honesty!

Exactly what Talon says - maybe it's more like 30 mph. Let's hope. :)

So what is the actual speed limit on the hill? At least her likes the new bus driver.

OMG! That is too funny. At least they're the first stop :)

Yikes! Does the new bus have seat belts?

To answer everyone's questions, the speed limit is 25. Yes, I do hope my son's "50 miles per hour" is his own sense of speed.
And no, the bus does not have seat belts.

haha. Good thing they get off first :)

It's hard entrusting your children to someone else. My 2 older children ride the bus too. No seat belts--that's not right. There should be.

My favorite elementary school bus driver was some bad ass looking lady who wore leather fingerless gloves.

My favorite shuttle driver at UCLA was this lady who would speed and go out on cigarette breaks so I never had to run to the shuttle thinking she was going to drive off without me.

I don't have a favorite UCSF shuttle driver yet.
